I’m a writer who doesn’t like the spotlight.

DECEITFUL MINDS
DECEITFUL MINDS
, please read my script first!

Mental health is a subject I take very seriously, and I hope that some of the issues raised in my story did not appear too sensationalized.
The events depicted in this script are "heightened" realism; they are in no way meant to represent people affected by these disorders or how they should be treated.
In the context of a modern thriller, I hope I have shown that certain areas have been researched and that there is a version of reality, behind the characterizations and dialogue.
Look after your mental health - if you're struggling, reach out to the people around you. You'll be surprised how understanding some people can be.
Deceitful Minds grew out of a deep admiration and love for thrillers of the late 80s and 90s. Those movies were tight, character driven, and built like intricate puzzles - I hope my script can live up to those expectations.
Setting the story in 1999 also gave me an opportunity to explore the last breath of the decade, before the imminent Y2K. CRTs glowing in living rooms, answering machines catching calls, cops chasing paper trails as much as suspects - I love that era and miss it so much.
I firmly believe 80s and 90s thrillers deserve a comeback, and this is my attempt to recreate those glory days - lovingly crafted to twist, tighten, and (hopefully) fuck with your head after the credits have rolled.

There are certain plot points in my script that I chose to leave slightly ambiguous. I hope there is enough information in dialogue and scenes, which explains the motivations and reasoning behind the characters' actions.
Sometimes, things are best left unsaid...
I have a number of ideas gestating in my muddled brain, and it takes me some time to separate what is meaningful and what isn't.
I'm just waiting for something to fully solidify and make sense.
Thank you for taking an interest in my work, it really does mean a lot to me.
